Firstly, the disclaimer I always make when mentioning racism, that I don't believe there to be any such thing as human 'races', so we can dispense with the usual "Islamophobia can't be racism because Islam is not a race". "Racism" is merely a byword for prejudice and bigotry directed at people on the basis of their ethnic, religious or physical differences.
Not only totally incorrect, but a
mischievous misrepresentation of the word 'racist' and 'racism'.
Somewhere back there, only a few years ago, the lexicologists working out of Oxford decided to widen the goal-posts on the words 'racist' and 'racism' so they would also cover exotic cultures and religions - thus making it a 'taboo' and a breach of the Vilification Acts to voice honest appraisals and criticism of immigrant cultures and religions brought in from the 'Third World'.
The expanded definition was designed to further help stamp out freedom of speech where this might upset certain immigrant sensitivities of an inferiority complex nature.
