A person with jewish faith.

It isn't hard. Get some historical context and understand why it is a slur.

I don't support the banning of Leftwinger. But I definitely support the questioning of his intentions, because they make no sense and are contradictory to his supposed beliefs. If anything, I would ask that he change his nickname because clearly he just spits on all the hard won battles of liberals over the last 70 years everytime he chooses to denigrate the work they've done with his stupendous opinions.

People identify as being 'n******' too. Doesn't mean it's appropriate for you to use the word. And anyway, people don't identify as 'Jews' as much as they identify as Jewish people.
