Another way of looking at it is, how desperate are the ALP to be lowering themselves into the murky crime ridden waters of SHY's people smugglers illegally sneaking extremely dangerous ISIS ISLAMICS into Australia.

Early days.  Who knows who will wear the sheet on this.

Agreed, though why are the AFP so interested in investigating this particular leak when there have been many more leaks?

If they prove you correct Labor are mince meat. If they can't pin anything on them BEFORE THE ELECTION, Turnbull just lost the unlosable election by doing a USSR impression.

Also agreed, and that is where the other side of the sword comes in.  This is a lose/lose for Turdfull.

I'd love to find out what the leak was.

You would have to be very naive or butt stupid if you didn't think the government had pull over the actions of the AFP.

'Tonight's events are unprecedented': Australian Federal Police raid Labor offices in Melbourne after alleged leak of NBN documents

Shadow Attorney General Mark Dreyfus confirmed Thursday night raids
The raids are related to allegations of leaked NBN documents
The AFP is said to have raided Labor senator Stephen Conroy's office
Two Labor staff members have been named in warrants relating to matter
Mr Drefyus said events were 'unprecedented' during an election campaign

PUBLISHED: 22:37 EST, 19 May 2016 | UPDATED: 22:43 EST, 19 May 2016

The Australian Federal Police has raided Labor Party offices in Melbourne over allegations of leaked National Broadband Network documents.
Shadow Attorney General Mark Dreyfus confirmed in a statement that Labor senator Stephen Conroy had his office searched and two Labor staff members have also been named in warrants relating to the matter.
'I understand these searches are in relation to documents relating to NBN Co. I have no further information about these documents,' Mr Dreyfus said in a statement.

Shadow Attorney General Mark Dreyfus said the AFP raided the office of Labor senator Stephen Conroy (pictured) regarding leaks of NBN documents

...

Opposition frontbencher Tony Burke said revelations about the NBN had caused 'immense damage' to Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull (pictured) as former communications minister
'But what we do know about NBN Co. is that Malcolm Turnbull was responsible for some massive cost blowouts and serious delays - he wrecked the NBN.'
Mr Dreyfus also referenced other recent government leaks relating to national security, defence, and the federal budget - none of which have resulted in police raids.
'Tonight's events are unprecedented - we have never witnessed such an extraordinary action during a federal election campaign,' Mr Dreyfus said.

Opposition frontbencher Tony Burke said the raids were in relation to allegations about documents which revealed the NBN roll-out was slower and more expensive under the Coalition than under Labor, reported the Sydney Morning Herald.
He said the revelations about the NBN had caused 'immense damage' to Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull as former communications minister, and he questioned the timing of the raids.

...

The Coalition pledged that its roll-out of the NBN would be more affordable and delivered faster than Labor's NBN plan
Australian Federal Police confirmed raids were being conducted in Melbourne on Thursday night but would not expand on where or what was being targeted.
'As this activity is related to an ongoing investigation, it is not appropriate to comment any further at this stage,' an AFP spokesman said in a statement.
Finance Minister Mathias Cormann who also appeared on 7.30 said he was not aware of the raids and that the AFP was an 'entirely independent organisation. It makes its own judgements on these things.'

Mal, Mal, Mal.  didn't you learn with Utegate about taking something and making a political football out of it?  ?     Obviously not.     The Roids on here are having orgasms aplenty, but it will all soon be just a premature ejaculation into a blue liberal sock.

You never learn do you?

Doesn't this sound as bit too convenient? That these leaks were known about months ago but right here, right now the AFP decide to carry out raids.

This smacks of Political Interference from the Government.

I think the fix is in. This campaign just got really, really dirty on the Liberals' part.
