The rightards on here can hyperventilate as much as they like on this but this will play out worse for the government than Labor as
IT STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN (SEE BELOW)
I tend to think otherwise..
the thing is its about someone who has probably signed something to say they would not divulge anything... like most public servants have too..
the point is red its about the leaks...its like spying....this sounds pretty blatant...even using the company photocopier.... pretty bold...and deceitful......what damage you are talking about I wouldnt know.. no one I know is in the least bit interested in the NBN...its the leaker that needs dealing with....they are the bad guy not the PM or the Leader of the opposition.....
why dont you guys look at the real picture here....
if it was your business involved I am sure you would be be a bit annoyed wouldn't you?...
wouldn't you even call in the police?..
I fully understand the NBN's right to refer this to the police and the police's right to investigate and perform the raids. Nothing at all wrong with that.
Yes it is stealing info not saying it isn't, but again the whistle blower rights comes up which is another argument altogether.
I do however have grave doubts about the timing of the raids and of the governments claims that they weren't aware of it. The special constable may have signed a non disclosure document but would have still had to get the OK from his superiors to attend.
Like I said even the dopiest CEO of NBN would have made the government aware that their staff were participating in a raid on an opposition MP's office as soon as he was aware of it, particularly at this sensitive time.
SO I AM SAYING SOMEONE IN THE GOVERNMENT KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO OCCUR -
NOT SURE WHAT THEY COULD HAVE DONE ABOUT IT -
BUT IT MAKES THEM LOOK DODGY AND POSSIBLY IMPLICATED FOR POLITICAL GAIN!
