Communications Minister Mitch Fifield admits he knew about the police investigation into damaging National Broadband Network leaks but claims he did not tell Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

NBN Co document leak AFP referral decision was made by management, Mitch Fifield saysCommunications Minister Mitch Fifield has confirmed he knew about a possible Australian Federal Police (AFP) investigation into leaks from the NBN Co.

"As an AFP investigation was underway, I did not advise other ministers or the Prime Minister of this matter."

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said it was appropriate Senator Fifield knew of the investigation and did not pass the information on to him.

"That is a matter of judgement for him," he said.

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Why concentrate on this and pass over the theft of documents el douche?

Like taking photos of documents involved in an afp raid for example.

Prove that alp staff members stole these documents - considering they are from nbn co.
Well the theft lead back to the computers in Conroy's office. Is that enough proof for you? That's why the cops raided it. Huh

Any proof whatsoever of this?

there have been leaks for months from nbnco - none of which originated from Conroy.

You've got no idea
Conroy's OFFICE. From the article-

Labor says the searches on Senator Conroy's Melbourne office and the home of a Labor staffer in the suburb of Brunswick are connected to documents leaked from National Broadband Network (NBN).

Learn to read articles dipstick.

The AFP is interviewing NBN Co staff over the alleged leaking of internal documents and Commissioner Colvin confirmed that a staffer had been signed into the raids as a "constable assisting".

Right back at you - what does the below image say - leaks from nbn co - dick!!!!!

If Labor people stole the info or not they still received stolen goods. They are guilty. Fullstop.

"In a statement on Saturday, Senator Fifield said senior management at the NBN referred the "commercially sensitive" document leaks to the Australian Federal Police after an internal review last year.

"I was advised by NBN that the matter had been referred to the AFP," he said.
"The referral to the AFP was made by the NBN senior management. I did not instruct nor request them to do so. It was quite properly a matter for NBN.
"As an AFP investigation was underway, I did not advise other ministers or the prime minister of this matter."

Look Hammer

The documents were leaked by someone in NBN Offices, Labor has no access to their computers.

The documents were leaked to several newspapers and the ALP (Conroy I suppose)

Why weren't the newspapers raided as they published the leaks?

As they weren't raided,  if you dont think the raids were politically motivated then I suggest you take your head out your arse!

I've just proven the alp didn't steal it - the info was leaked from inside nbn co - you really do have reading comprehension problem.

The guy who took those photos illegally is in a lot of trouble - I hope the lnp don't use them as it wouldn't be proper

They all broke the law then. I haven't read that they were leaked to newspapers though. Also I haven't read they were leaked by employees either. Labor would of jumped on this if it was the other way around.

It can only be leaked by someone with access to the information ... that leaves NBN CO. and it's staff, or the communications minister and his staff. No one else has access to be able to leak it

again,  I have no idea what they have in their possession ... and neither do you Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

What proof do you have to say otherwise hammer?

The raids aren't proof - all they are proof of is that the alp and media outlets had leKed information from a source in nbn co.

The alp aren't the ones with access nor did they steal it.

We are seeing damaging leak after damaging leak out of the NBN company at the moment

Do you get it yet???
