In this situation I am. Why can't a dangerous breeds of human who have issues be banned from coming here due to public safety issues?

Because you would be discriminating on the basis of religious belief.

We have managed to absorb other "problematic" and "troublesome" religious groups (Jews, Catholics, Hindus, Sikhs, etc.) without much trouble once people understood that the overwhelming majority are harmless ordinary, everyday people who just want to make a new life for themselves in a new land (Australia). Just a couple of points.

I believe the weapon used was an AR14. How someone on a 'watch list' managed to legally buy an AR14 is beyond me. If, however, the weapon he obtained was illegally obtained, I'd say it's much the same as in this country. Cue Man Monis.

Patrons in Florida are prohibited from carrying firearms in a venue that serves alcohol, much like 'safe school' zones in a lot of other states. Such laws have both advantages and disadvantages. After Sandy Hook, some states are reviewing laws on guns in schools. Even if you could find a gay bar in 'Texuuus', if he tried that same stunt there, he would have resembled a colander before he could change magazines.

And despite where he was born, if we was born a Muslim, there is always a risk of radicalism. The story of Old Yeller springs to mind. And, like rabies, this is an infection we wish to keep out of our country.

We've relaxed the laws on keeping the nutters and the criminals locked up, and see where that's gotten us. But we defend Islam which breeds both.

Can't have it both ways.
