Some people cite Jewish tradition from that era and give her age as between 12 and 14.

However this is unproved conjecture, based on the tradition of the Israelites at that time, nevertheless speculation is not the undeniable truth.

So for me she could have between 12 - 14, or there is an equal chance that she was older. Who knows?

However what I can say with absolute certainty is that the cultures / societies of today (the 21st century) which have their roots in the Judaeo Christian doctrines are light years ahead of cultures which have stemmed from Hinduism and islam.

The treatment, today 2016, of the female in these cultures is deplorably depraved.

Between them they culturally / religiously leave baby girls beside tracks to die from exposure, eaten by wild animals, or if extremely lucky found by a kind human who will look to their needs, they are just as likely to be found by a fellow human who will take them and subject them to a life of slavery and sexual abuse.

They will marry little girls to fully matured men who rape them and in many cases murder the girls through uncontrolled vaginal hemorrhaging, or through death by fatal complications of an early pregnancy.

They will torture and murder their sisters and wives because of some supposed family honour slight.

So in making an assumption based on fact, I state that the culmination of the Judaeo Christian era (todays' 21st century civilization) the Hindus and muslims are millenniums behind us.

Of course the anti-Christian brigade will unremittingly work to hide the turpitudes of todays' muslims and Hindus, always trying to equate Christianity with the depravities of the 21st century muslim and Hindu.
