Christians to apologise to Homosexuals

Gee, come on Yadda, Mr Cyclist, Moses et al. What on Earth should they be asked to apologise for? How did they justify their abusive behaviour of the past?

Firstly, no one outside of the catholic church gives a rats what the old fool says (and it could be argued a large percentage inside the catholic church don't give a rats either).

Secondly, apologise for what? I've never personally attacked a homosexual violently or verbally. I don't see a gay person walking down the street and feel the need to hurt them in any way. But I don't support gay marriage or teaching people that this is normal behaviour. So what's there to apologise for? I can't say sorry because some idiot catholic priest burnt one to death 500 years ago. I didn't do that. If my opinion offends them I can't apologise for that, because I haven't changed my opinion.

I'm willing to bet the large majority of Christians are in the same position. Would never hurt a gay, but will not support their lifestyle. So what is there to apologise for?

This Pope is an Argentinian simple monk who although delights in his apparent popularity amongst Catholics, does not reflect the general views of most Christians.

Jeez sh1t loads of people don't like middle aged white hetro-sexual males but you don't see me running around demanding an apology;

I check my 'Give a Fkkk' meter and see if it still sits on zero and get on with my life like a normal well adjusted person.

I mean, how much more flexible can you get then; "Do what you want, but I don't support that lifestyle". Any more than that isn't being flexible, it is denying one's self.
