Why would you say that?
Is it because your perverted sexual practices are viewed with disdain by the catholic church?
Or perhaps because you have no self esteem so you are looking for a way to offset your views?
Throughout time, there have been men and women who, for gratification reasons, like to try different and often perverted practices.
Beastiality.
Necrophilia.
Foot, hand, hair, shoe, toe and even feces fetishes.
Some enjoy dressing up as women or babies or other role plays.
What ever got their rocks off, there has even been men killed because they have used electric toasters, I have no idea why, but they obviously do.
On the whole, these fetishes are largely harmless and can easily be ignored.
But some are more sinister and viewed with righteous indignation and outright anger.
Murder, such as in serial killers with a sexual fetish for killing.
Pedophilia.
Serial rape etc.
The church and its teachings have been the foundation of many of our laws.
And the bible does say that man shall not lie with man (in the true sense not some deliberate misinterpretation of telling falsehoods, but by having sexual relations with another man).
This is and may be today, less problematic than in the past.
But homosexuality in the past would have been seriously frowned upon.
Men would have to find a partner by whatever means possible, which would have been difficult, so they groomed the young.
This is why homosexuality is tied with pedophilia.
Today this is not so much the case, but the stigma still exists.
And the church has definitely not helped itself by protecting priests engaged in this disgusting practice.
But on the whole, the church and its teachings are largely and predominantly benevolent to the population and its people.
Hospitals were first brought into being by the church, as were schools and education.
We owe Christianity far more than we have to denigrate it for.
In the future, I hope to see a community who will accept each of us for our own ways.
But for this to happen, BOTH sides must be able to see the light.
Insults, protests, violence and apologies will mean nothing but continued problems.
If there is any religion who you should be challenging it is the Islamic religion.
Only they murder homosexuals as a part of their doctrine.
But you will no, simply because you are too frightened of the backlash.
You would prefer to attack the easy target like all cowards.
Attack the Islamic religion, I dare you!
Tell them that they need to apologize!
Tell them that you will not stand for murder of homosexuals!
Or just go away
