Why, do you think the women in Texas should have unrestricted abortion rights up to & including partial birth abortions?.....

par·tial-birth a·bor·tion
noun
plural noun: partial-birth abortions

a late-term abortion of a baby that has already died, or is killed before being completely removed from the mother.

Usually by inserting a sharp object through the base of the screaming infants skull & manipulated rapidly until the infant dies it's horrible death......if you want a youtube video, I'll provide one for your pleasure (with audio).

Supreme Court puts Obama immigration legacy
on November's ballot

Source:
CNN Political
    Quote:
Washington (CNN)The U.S. Supreme Court just smashed open a political hornet's nest.
The court's deadlocked ruling Thursday that effectively blocks Barack Obama's controversial executive actions on immigration, sent convulsions through the 2016 election campaign, dealt a shattering blow to the President's legacy and suddenly left four million undocumented people fearing deportation.

The eight justices ensured that a campaign that has already been consumed by divisive rhetoric on immigration will likely become even more fraught, and made the already bitter fight over the destiny of the court will even more intense, with the next President poised to make appointments that could shift its ideological balance for decades.

All three branches of the U.S. government -- the executive, the legislature and the judiciary -- have now taken up the polarizing issue of immigration reform, and failed to solve it. Now, it's back to the voters to deliver a verdict on programs designed by Obama to offer work permits and other benefits to 4 million people who had hoped to move out of the shadows into the center of American life........

.......Immigration may not decide the election, but the issue is so emotive that it exerts a powerful influence of base voters in both parties. And since the election could turn on which candidate can motivate the highest number of committed partisans to go to the polls, immigration will play a crucial role.

The ruling provides a rallying point for presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, who has vowed to go even further than Obama on executive action and is using the issue to cultivate crucial Hispanic general election voters. And it plays directly into the hands of Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump, who has centered his campaign on illegal immigration, a plan to deport undocumented migrants and a proposal to build a wall on the Mexican border.....continued

If you think the rhetoric has been bombastic to date, just wait......you ain't seen nothin' yet!

And in traditional CNN Style, they want the general American Public & American Hispanics to believe that the SCOTUS outcome was only about Mexicans....like the wall, though on the Mexican Border, it's about ALL  Illegal Immigration that traditionally enter through that extremely porous border

So do you speak from both sides of your mouth, because if what you're saying is if they vote against the HNIC, or the whims of the Left, 4 to 4, they're just a Rightist Court flexing it's Conservative Republican Racist self, but if they vote favorably 5 to 3 on a leftist issue ( Abortion Rights ), the exact same court, is........somehow miraculously a........balanced court???

Edit: just thought you would like to know that the Founding Fathers...the crafters of the Constitution....did not want the SCOTUS to be totally bias free, that's why the are appointed politically, actually in hopes of bias....do your research, it's there to be found. Wink

(Geez... What is it about this place? So many overemotional people here)...

(How do I say this?) I know much context is lost between the spoken and written word, but if you'd have taken a deep breath and thought about it, you might have been able to intuit that a throwaway comment referring to judges appointed according to political or socio-political persuasions is a statement of the obvious... There wouldn't be all the clamour about appointing the 9th SCJ if that wasn't the case. A comment like that shouldn't be reason to launch into an 'autistic' tirade, as if you were actually offended by a comment like that... (Or were you?).

... Nahhh mate, not offended, just used to dealing with under 35 year old leftards, who like the butter on my bread & are just itching to find a way to get at it. That, & this damn Victorian weather....cold & wet, cold & wet, cold & cold. Can't make up it's mind....

Seriously though, no matter how hard you try, nobody.....least of all those across the big pond.....can figure where the SCOTUS will go day to day....left votes right....right votes left....then they all bunch to the middle......go figure. ...

BTW.....have fun with   the actual oral arguments within the Court   pertaining to this immigration issue.

If you prefer to listen to them rather than read.....
try here.

Nice that they are so open at all levels, so the world can see & listen to the subject matter.....it's called transparency I think. I wonder if we have the same here?  Wink

Just out of interest other than to save the life of the mother how many partial birth abortions take place in the US.

OK, so it appears as though its only 0.17% of abortions in US are whats considered partial-birth.

Interesting to note medical community doesnt recognise this term (not surprised it is loaded), so will use their term intact dilation and extraction.

Seems to be used in cases of miscarriage or fetuses that have severe congenital defects to allow viewing of remains, examination of defects and closure.

In the UK, they seem to be only aware of it being used in cases whereby the mother is at risk of severe morbidity (sickness) or mortality.

I have no god damn clue. But...an abortion is health care for women whether you agree with it or not. No woman should ever be denied her right to health care.
