Pleasantly surprised by council
Jun 30th, 2016 at 6:40pm

The big rain event recently brought a storm water surge down the road and collapsed the edge pretty bad as well as washing out the front of my drive.

I emailed the council about 3 days ago and asked was there something they could do. I knew they had replied but hadn't got round to looking at it.

Blow me! I drove out this afternoon & they had been and asphalted all of it. Not bad service.
I thought they would be working through a lot more priority stuff.

BTW I had to drive up through Menangle this afternoon and was able to see what the Nepean River had done. It clearly came through like a tornado & broke its banks, tearing away everything in its way.

Know the enemies of a civil society by their public behaviour, by their fraudulent claim to be liberal-progressive, by their propensity to lie and, above all, by their attachment to authoritarianism.

Well no actually. I don't think there are any Labor people on it. But that's not the issue, more like efficient management.
I guess like most people I just pay the rates and grumble and never have anything to do with them.
But I'll definitely be thanking  them.
