Northern Californians are slightly more humane than the southern ones. Sonoma is quite beautiful - despite all the yuppie scum it attracts.

Well my friend, let me tell you something which I suspect is abundantly obvious to all here (except Aussie, who will probably need it explained to him).

What you are doing is stereotyping. You are attributing the actions and characteristics of some within the group, and attributing them to the whole.

So, my question: why is it ok for you to do it by labelling, for instance, all mid westerners as "ignorant, flag waving, uneducated rednecks", yet not okay for me to refer to all Palestinians as terrorists?

We're both stereotyping, so why is it ok for you but not me?

Years ago native Californians would move here or there and usually end up back in Cali. Now when they leave they don't come back. When I was last there in 2009 I couldn't wait to go back home. The cost of living there is way too high. It's way too crowded and the chances of being a victim of some kind of crime is way too smacking high. You can't even pump gas at a self service gas station without somebody trying to get in your car, take whatever they can and haul ass before you can do anything about it. If you do confront them you'll probably end up getting your ass kicked by them and their cohorts, have a gun pulled in your face or end up shot or stabbed. Even the illegals are leaving Cali at a higher rate than they're coming here now. Goes to show you it really must suck there if going back to Mexico is a better alternative than staying.

This is the real reason Marla doesn't like Texuuns:

More than three-quarters of registered Republican voters in Texas and roughly as many Tea Party supporters say immigrants who are here illegally should be deported immediately, a policy pushed by presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump, according to a new survey.

The poll by the University of Texas/Texas Politics Project, released Tuesday, shows Trump’s most controversial policies, including building a border wall and banning Muslims from entering the U.S., are overwhelmingly favored among Texas conservatives.

The same poll, however, shows Trump leads likely Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton by only eight percentage points in Texas. Overall, 41 percent of the state’s voters support Trump and 33 percent favor Clinton. Twenty-seven percent said they either prefer someone else or hadn’t thought about it enough.

A good place to start would be a Pakistani stereotype that's not a Leb, dear.

Perhaps you could try that.
