There's been nothing more about it in the news.
It looks like he'll get away with it scott free.

However - I'm sure Bill will have to fend off
questions in the new parliament.

according to the news the campaign did have an affect on people.    it scared them   which of course was the intent...

however if it was a deadset lie... .. I mean they even dragged Hawke out of the pub to do an ad.....

then do not the voters deserve an apology if nothing else???

we are sick of the LIES...and that goes for everything..Bill....lies in advertising is against the law....and we were inundated with ads on this...

what proof did they have????.....come on fess up...

you guys ask us to TRUST you.. and then you stoop to this level....and you think its A.OK... well it isnt. Angry

the fake message:

...

Is it true that millions of these were sent out?
That would have taken a lot of technical help
& money.

Nope.

Bulk SMS services are extremely inexpensive, and very simple to use.

No idea.

Not that it matters: there's nothing fraudulent about them.

Dear Greggy,
I am not a lawyer but have yet to hear whether the law applies:

http://www.smartsafe.org.au/legal-guides/legal-guide-relevant-criminal-offences-...

Quote:
Using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence (s 474.17)

It is an offence for a person to use a carriage service in a way that reasonable persons would regard as being menacing, harassing or offensive.

Maximum penalty: Imprisonment for 3 years.

We'll see what happens when Malcolm uses his political position of PM  to pursue it.

He'll tell the Feds - " book some laborites - especially Shorty -  for something. "

Not really - no more than saying that the Govt. contracting out
the building of submarines is a threat to Australian jobs or services.
Could the navy build the subs?
