Meanwhile, we have psychologists saying that "women will react differently to sexual assault and rape."

And after all, not every rape victim has her own religious community to protect.

Regarding number 2 - I have no idea how you can come to that conclusion when the article clearly stated:-

Notice the words “went straight to”?

So says the Daily Mail. There was another article from another tabloid that directly contradicted this account - saying a friend found her and either told her to report it, or reported it herself (forget which). It was posted earlier in the thread.

I know you didn't ask me, but here's my answer: if you have never been gang raped and have no idea of how traumatic it is, IMO you have no right to dismiss the effect that the trauma will have on the way you react in the immediate aftermath of the experience.
