Took him long enough. Now it's time for the Federal government to prosecute the QLD branch of the ALP for those disgraceful, fraudulent Medicare text messages.

How were they fraudulent?

Be specific.

You already know the answer.

Telling the truth through text or carrier pigeon not a crime- not fraudulent.  R-whingers are just a bit slow, as we all know.

This wasn't a schoolboy prank where one person sent another a fake message.

This is about perhaps millions of SMS  messages being paid for & sent out.
How did they get all the phone numbers?
Where did the money to pay for all that come from?
Who devised the plan?
Who invented the false text?
Who ordered it?

Tell you what worries me more is reports of actual people ringing elderly voters and telling their Medicare benefits would end if they voted LNP.

I get that both sides use scare tactics  but really, scaring dear old ladies on the phone.

The money came from the Labor Party, and there's nothing "false" about the text.

There is nothing to see here, Booby.

We put up the notion that perhaps names and phone numbers were obtained from Parakeelia and then put into an autodialer.  After all, Parakeelia is a data mining company - albeit owned by the Liberal Party - that collects this information and most probably sells it on

The large greek lady from Hurstville thinks "parakeelia" is greek for ordering things as in    "Can I have fires with my souvaliki and fat burger in addition to what I have on my parakeelia?"

But in all seriousness, these lists and numbers are readily available from data mining companies - for a price - and the message was definately  not fraudulent nor untrue.  Misleading maybe but fare better than fake how to vote cards and telling people that Labor supported a mosque in their electorate. Now THAT was below the belt
