What do do with China and the SCS?
Jul 19th, 2016 at 11:10am

China is an important trading partner. The South China Sea is also a very important shipping route for trade to and from Australia. Therefore, this country has a very important stake in what happens in the SCS despite our relative distance from the region in dispute. Many nations are becoming increasingly concerned with China's militarisation of the SCS and its refusal to accept the ruling of the international court recently. What do you think should be done about China's trampling of the sovereignty of its neighbours in the SCS?

Wait for Donald Trump to become President and see what he decides to do.

After all, without the might of the USA military, Australia is just a pussy cat and Australia does not want to fall out with one of our largest trading partners.
