I think it boils down to one thing with freediver.  He will take any position he needs to if that means Israel is allowed to continue on its merry way with Western support.

Is FD Jewish? I guess that explains it

and you still haven't explained yourself FD .... if you are so enamored by the current policies and you believe it's working and no better options are possible, why do you spend so much time on here telling us that we have to stop the muslims? You realise that our current policies aren't about stopping the muslims, right?

don't run away FD ... explain yourself!

I think it boils down to one thing with freediver.  He will take any position he needs to if that means Israel is allowed to continue on its merry way with Western support.  My position is the complete opposite.  Those in Israel are giving ample notice that 'Tasmania' is available for them if they choose to go to that Land I Promised Them, or they take their chances staying....and that will be without any support from the West.

Those who elect to stay there sort out their own schit with their neighbours, as Mr Smith is saying.

The left will never allow genocides and ethnic cleansing to happen, they will be clamouring for the great Satan to intervene.

Let alone the simplistic nature of your solution, politics is the art of the possible.  And there is no doubt that without the west, Jews and Israel will no longer exist in that region.  But you seem happy with that solution.

So your grand scheme is to build a wall around the middle east and let the carnage begin?

Would you consider it a form of interference to slaughter all the Arabs trying to get past it?

There are equally dysfunctional places throughout Africa

and how many of those are we bombing?

are we worrying about African terrorists?

See, you wanted proof my suggestion would work, and now you've gone and proven it for yourself.

freediver wrote on Jul 26th, 2016 at 9:12pm:
And what are you going to do about the millions of refugees and terrorists streaming out of the middle east ahead of the advancing Caliphate? Build a wall?

close down the borders.

There are far greater levels of failure that you are striving for

says the guy who thinks burying our head in the sand and continuing to do the same thing we've done for the last 100 yrs will suddenly wield a different result simply because he wishes it so  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy.

things are getting worse FD ... the more we get involved, the worse it is becoming. We went from 1 million refugees fleeing Syria pre western bombing, to 13 million after we joined in to 'help'.

Close down the borders.  Bwahahahahahahah.  No really, bwahahahahahahah.  *wipes tears from eyes*

You clowns have never seen a border you didn't want to tear down, and now you propose to close down borders.  bugger off.   Roll Eyes

I think that is very unlikely, but so as to amuse you I'll play along .... then we get involved

Why is it unlikely? The whole reason we, the Americans, the Russians, the UK etc are getting dragged back into this is because neither Assad nor Iraq are capable of handling ISIS on their own.

Would you consider the rise of ISIS as a justification to get involved?

Rubbish, they or their ancestors have been there for centuries, and have as much right to be there as any other 'Arab.'  My beef is with the State of Israel, not Jews.

Can you give some examples of us doing the "same thing" as setting up democracies in Iraq and Afghanistan?

not quite, but close enough for the purposes of this discussion

How is it different? Do you propose machine gun turrets and no walls to give them a fighting chance?

Quote:
Isis is a result of western involvement

So because you blame the west for Muslims raping and pillaging, you want us to stand back and watch them rape and pillage, but if it was their own fault for raping and pillaging, you would want to go in and rescue them? And then presumably blame the west for the cluster bugger it turns into and demand we allow them to start raping and pillaging again?

Boko Haram in Nigeria has joined the Islamic state, when did the west get involved with Nigeria?
bbc.com/news/world-africa-31784538

Al Shabaab in Somalia has joined the Islamic state-
edition.cnn.com/2015/10/22/africa/al-Shabaab-faction-isis

The Caliphate or the Islamic state has expanded into Africa despite the fact the west has had nothing to do with it.

No end of apologetics from the spineless Islamic apologists.
