I don't think it is a question of what I could adhere to. You want all migrants to sign up to Christian values. Surely you can list these things you want them to agree to?

My Irish Protestant ancestors, a small enclave of such within a mighty Catholic clan going directly back to the Ancient High Kings...were viewed as heretics and worse by their clan... I believe they took on Protestantism to bypass the anti-Irish Laws in place.... it's called 'spitting Protestantism'... you leave the church and then spit to ward of demons....

Point is, I hold no religious affiliations at this time in my life and never felt comfortable with the idea of blind obedience to some set of 'faith' rules... unlike my grandmother on one side and my mother's intensely Catholic family on the other.....

Does this mean I should be banned from Australia for not holding Christian religion as a major prop in my life?
