They have a different system to ours, cods.
Their Constitution actually bestows the executive power of the United States in the president.
So, it is very much about the person (to a certain extent).
In Australia, we don't even have the office of PM mentioned in the Constitution.
Having said that, there's no mention of political parties either.
I agree, though: more attention should be paid to policies.
The problem is, Trump doesn't have any (no realistic ones, that is).
