Once Trump gets into the White House he will discover that the position of US President is not an autocracy, and that there are many checks-and-balances to keep him pretty much on the straight and narrow and behaving himself.

I doubt Hillary will be inviting him in.

Unless you're talking about this.

I very definitely don't see Hillary Clinton as being anything other than an arch-bitch.

And that will frustrate the schit out of him.  He has zero experience in public administration.  He has plenty of experience in having his own way in his own corporations.

I seriously doubt he can win, but if he does, he is in for a huge disappointment.

Correct, on all points.

He wouldn't last two weeks in the job.

Not that it's ever going to happen.

Nonsense!

US presidents are mostly window-dressing anyway, with the real work and the real decisions being made by committees behind the scenes.

Sparks will also fly when Hillary discovers she's not so much the Queen Bee in the Oval Office but the Tea Lady for visitting diplomats and dignitaries.

Hypothetical.

Given his massive ego.

Let's say Trump is 10 points behind in the pre-election Polls, and there is a clear and solid downhill pattern.  He spits the dummy and pulls out of the race.

What happens?  Anyone know?

Indeed, ask Obama. Woodwards book details the myriad ways in which Obama was frustrated in doing the things he wanted to do.  It ain't simple when th buck stops at your desk.

If anyone has a simple solution, then sure as poo, they don't know what the hell is going on.

I was thinking about that the other day.

What is the answer - Hillary by default?

That reminds me of something.

"DONALD Trump has been accused of an historical child rape in shocking allegations filed with the United States Federal Court." Link

Those checks & balances don't seem to have stopped Abu bin Obama from getting men into girls'
bathrooms or spreading Muslim immigrants all over the country like so much manure.

no , what i am saying is that donald has shown great persistence, great self belief, an ability to draw confidence from with-in, a strength of will, laser like focus and a punch thru the wall(not at the wall) mentality.
This i find admirable.

Be careful what you admit to admiring.
