The Malaysia deal was quashed by the High Court and.

Well that seems it was a no-goer. What should the government done when the High Court rejected the notion?

Abbott was not in Government.  Labor was.  After the High Court decision, all Abbott had to do was support remedial legislation.  The Labor Government did not bother, as Abbott had made his position of strident opposition clear.  Remember, Labor was in minority Government then.

The day the announcement was made in the high court Abbott suggested changing the legislation and committed to supporting the changes, he quickly changed his mind (back flipped) and opposed the changes. The legislation was not supported by the liberals until the re opening of Nauru which was also just as illegal for the same reasons.

you realise that is exactly what governments do each and every time they pass a bill, right?

It just depends on which pieces of legislation. There were sure shrill screams coming from Labor when Abbott was head of government.

Of course, if it had not been for the crass stupidity of the Greenies led Krudd/Gillard/Krudd Socialist abortion, there would never have been any need for any prisons for illegal invaders organized to come here by the appalling Greenie SHY.

Whoever were the brain dead creeps who voted for SHY ?

I wonder what Tony is up to? He's retrospectively commending  a policy he opposed even though it is impossible  to tell if what he now believes would have happened indeed  would have happened. Either way it is in the past and therefore a moot point. With the greatest respect, Mr Abbott; reserve your wedge politics for the opposition.

Mr Abbott reveals why he would never make it in small business and had to become a career politician to pay his mortgage.

Cattle have strayed into the australian pasture.
people are just totally overcomplicating this.
Get on the phone to the bloke who runs the port in Sri Lanka or where ever.

"hi ya buddy, we got a couple of yours wandered over. we'll shoot em back to you wednesday avo. You owe me a carton matey. Can you get your fencing contractor in . a few must have pushed thru the fence . Cheers cobber"

a level 6 administration officer in the public service should have this sorted by 9 am. No need for politicians to get involved in trivia

nothing delusional about it. When parliament passes a bill it becomes law. That's a FACT. It's astonishing how little you seem to know about how our government works
