Know the enemies of a civil society by their public behaviour, by their fraudulent claim to be liberal-progressive, by their propensity to lie and, above all, by their attachment to authoritarianism.

Surprised real estate agents don't figure prominently, especially for auctions.

I'm not surprised.... i can't tell you the number of people that have said 'it was like that'  when you pick them for damage or unclean ... it's gotta be about 90% of tenants. Despite the sheet THEY fill out not showing the damage when they moved in.  Tenants have a problem with accepting responsibility

I mean deliberate.

"Contrived durability is a strategy of shortening the product lifetime before it is released onto the market, by designing it to deteriorate quickly."

"The strategy of contrived durability is generally not prohibited by law, and manufacturers are free to set the durability level of their products."

It's a bit like the left have a problem accepting that higher unemployment benefits bring higher unemployment isn't it.

Yep, had that recently, with the Gold Coast house, the carpet was full of flees and stunk of animal urine, and when it was stripped out of the house, all the marks were underneath.

And this is where I was told by an agent once, that the photos and condition report on entry, are like a bible!

I had to prove to the tenant, that no, the carpet wasn't like that when you went in, and no, the flyscreens were not bent and damaged when you went into the property. And yes, the garden was neat and trim when you entered, not like long straw ready for hay bailing!
And hence, photos sent as proof. Case closed.
Lazy lazy lazy!

you can almost guarantee they'll say it.

I even had one tenant bring back a key 3 days late, then objected when I charged her rent for the three days. Tenants object as soon as you charge them for anything. It doesn't matter who's fault, they object. They're lucky the RTA is biased towards the tenants.

I usually buy kitchen appliances at Myers and they will replace the item if you take it back .... at least they used to.  I haven't bought anything for a while.

I too have done a fair bit of shopping in Myers over the years.....about 12 months ago I bought  jamies oliver saucepan there the price was almost $300 but it was reduced...after about 3 uses... it discolored  inside.. the label stated that this would not happen....so back it went and the assistant spent about 10 min on the phone with his boss and he said no that was from use not fault..nothing I could do about it.. just be annoyed and wont buy Jamie Oliver pots again...not only does the lid handle get hot so does the pot handle  a total waste of space...and I wasnt too happy with Myers either...but thats their loss...

I didn't see health funds?

They probably have a separate file for the number of complaints.
No health fund is any good, but its all the same only some are worse than others.
