Privatisation always ends in the consumers paying more and the government losing revenue that they then have to gouge out of tax payers in some other fashion while complaining about the bottom line of the budget.

It really has been proven to be a lose lose situation where the only people better off are the investors in the purchasing interests.

There is no known case of privatisation in Australia where the consumer and the country have not finished much worse off.

The private sector makes up the majority of the economy.  There are literally millions of examples  Grin

Go visit North Korea......there's no privatization there....compare the difference... Grin

good way to avoid the issue Swag .... even in your make believe world you can't name one example where it worked for the benefit of the consumer.

Ah no Smithy it's you that are avoiding the issue by ignoring the fact this it is private enterprise that makes up the majority of the economy.

It employs the most people and it pays the most taxes directly and indirectly.

Why are they disasters?  If they were disasters they would fold?

and?

we aren't talking about private enterprise and what portion of the economy they represent, we are talking about privatising government assets. Now ca you name ONE example whereby the consumer is better off after privatisation has occurred?
