Yes, they do. It is one hundred percent true. Some may insist that it happens only in rural places or slums but they are wrong. Even in mega cities like Mumbai or Bangalore people defecate in public places. Many blame it on the Government for not providing proper facilities (which is also true) but this is more of lack of civil sense. Even where Govt provides basic infrastructure people lack the responsibility to maintain cleanliness. Most have do-the-business-and-get-out attitude with a complete disregard for public utilities. Be it bus stations, roads, toilets or parks. Men piss on roadsides. Parents make their children defecate on the streets instead of dragging them to toilets.
