Quote:So, how did we go from wanting to be America, to hating America, while taking its money?
You mustn't know much about Trump's casino and property development deals, Bogie. He's taken plenty of land and money off various cities. The only thing he's given back is office space with helicopter access, high-end resorts, and slot machines.
As for hating Amerika, Trump's entire philosophy is about screwing the customer. He's a germophobe who hates shaking hands. He refuses to deal with customers or sign autographs. He hasn't met an ordinary Amerikan for years. If he has to, he sends his bodyguards in to deal with the crowds.
This is the difference between a "negotiator" like Trump and a career politician. Politicians shake hands, kiss babies and meet voters for a living. This is what they do.
Trump only deals with people who can make him money. He's said this plenty of times. He hates social events, fears crowds and doesn't even like sitting down for meals with people. He must have missed the job description for Amerikan president.
Forget state dinners, speeches, networking, meeting the people and all that rot. If foreign heads of state are lucky, they'll get a tuna sandwich and a diet coke in Trumps office.
And before you think Trump can change to meet the demands of the role, remember that he's 74. He'll be in his 80s if he gets a second term. At best, Trump will judge a few beauty pageants and cut a few ribbons on office blocks. He'll hide away in Trump Tower for the rest of the time. He's already said he doesn't want to live in the White House.
No gold taps. Only
two stories. No Trump name on the front of the building.
If Trump is unlucky enough to get in, he'll be the first president to quit.
Amerika, you're fired.
