TWO truckies are dead after a fiery head on crash at Erskine Park, in Sydney’s west, this afternoon.

Shocking pictures have emerged of the aftermath of the crash, with both trucks consumed by flames.

Emergency services were called to Lenore Dr, Erskine Park, about 1.30pm after reports of the head on smash.

horrific......my heart goes out to their loved ones...they are after all keeping this country moving...

they said a head on.....and someone said one crossed the median strip..... these guys are under far too much pressure....they scare the hell out of me especially at night.....

both exploded in flames so I guess it was full bore...

I am very saddened if some arent..

Yes well now we'll have to wait to find out why the truck crossed the median strip

Let's look at some possibilities ...

1) Broken steering

2) Swerving to avoid hitting something on the road

3) Going to sleep

4) Blown front tyre

5) Simply losing control after changing lanes at speed

6) Loose load shifting in back while turning steering wheel

Quite possibly Another one I didn't think of is brake failure The investigation will rely on witnesses a lot I'd say, other motorists' accounts and any pedestrians around there at the time

but I do.. just like I do when a person is killed by a drink driver..... it shouldnt happen... but it does...
