What is behind this serious political malaise in the West ?
IMO, there has been a total lack of frankness and honest basic appraisal, and lack of even a cursory consideration of
probable consequences of much of the 'general' government policy in the West, 1/ consideration among those reporting on Western politics in the mainstream media, and 2/ among the mainstream political 'intelligentsia' [i.e. among governments and their advisors] in the West.
And that 'form' ['meme' ?],
has a consequence.
