I like the way you don't often agree with me, then you do.

What rule did it break?

Wow. How very PC. How very Orwellian. You don't work for the ABC National Broadcaster do you? Or Pravda? Or The Guardian? The Age maybe?

This is exactly why Trump won the Election. They preferred the realism of having a bit of a mongrel in the White House rather than a scripted, choreographed phony like Hillary Clinton.

There are 2 paradoxical purposes for seeking out certain categories of posters.

1  we all like to "vibe" with people who agree with us.
Nothing wrong with that. If you have had a tough week, grinding it out in this harsh world, then a night with your buddies , just "vibing" will get rid of all that cortisol and adrenaline in the system and refresh you.
so righties can vibe with righties and lefties with lefties...Cool.

2  if you are actually trying to get out of "group think" and "social conditioning" and experience "any real growth", then you will have to read the mindset of those you dont neccessarily vibe with.  This is tough. It makes you question your ego. The group-think does not encourage this. The group-think of modern social conditioning is about apathy and laziness and it requires effort to read and understand the position of "other".
But a good conservative should be able to understand the position  of the labor party or democrat party.
You should be willing to learn form people you have zero respect for if they can help you climb the "narrow road to success".
i think rightards are more open to this.
I think they realise you can learn and take lessons from anyone and indeed you should.
Some commie union leaders strong -arm bully who runs the CFMEU.  i would never just hate on the guy...i would want to study how he was able to climb the narrow road.
Same with a green senator...i dont agree with them, but what emotion are they tapping into. can we learn something from their journey (even if just a cautionary tale).
Leftards , on the other hand , dont seem able to do this "hard work". I do find leftards more lazy and more emotional. I have yet to hear one leftard say

"this Donald Trump, what an amazing story. we need to sign him up as the keynote speaker at the labor parties next national congress, so we can learn from such an exceptional human being".
When they do, i will see that they are going up in the world. at the moment i am happy to study the leftard but i would not vibe with him (ie i would not vibe with him as part of group 1).
Why?  because you wouldnt want to vibe with negative neurotic angry and fearful people who like victim hood and mediocrity. Vibing with that would not refresh you. It would just raise your adrenaline cortisol soup and make you angry and fearful....vibing with leftards would drag me down....i feel it would not help on the "journey"

You do realise your analysis reduces to, "I am open-minded, but leftists are not."

Scoot, you should be willing to listen to everybody including those for whom you have zero respect because there's always a chance they might be right and you might be wrong.
You don't have to admit it, just note it down.

None really - I allow personal preferences only a passing nod.... there are some I almost ignore due to the patent silliness of their posts....

Well - I like the good old Grappler - by gee - what a wit even if it goes over the heads of many.. and accompanied by a scintillating intellect and depth of knowledge and understanding of issues rarely seen elsewhere, as well as a deep and persistent humanity (unrelated to any Catholic upbringing, mind you) ..... some of his more hirsute posts, his little dialogue boxes, absolutely tear open an issue under discussion, even if some are confused by it... and he has a depth and breadth of understanding of world issues and international pressures that is unparalleled....

He is sooooo modest, as well.... and wise to a T.... but what a contributor!

I do realise that indeed.
The "noble rightard" is on his mission in life and one of those is to try to reduce the 'apathy" and "laziness addiction" which has come about , as a result of the "lack of evolutionary pressure".

as it is part of my mission , i am willing to learn from leftards in areas like the environment , health care, aged care.  But on "personal philosophy", i cant compromise my principles...i can never accept "the cry baby mentality" or "complaining" as part of the acceptable behaviours of an adult.

I will learn from any person who interacts with horses...but i could never accept a trainer who supplicated to his horse and let it bite him or kick him.
We owe it to those we interact with to have very firm personal boundaries.

And, no , i wont let negative and neurotic and hateful posts made to me "enter my own personal ecosystem of positive emotions".  Those boundaries are absolute.
If someone responds to my ideas with an angry post, that emotion simply isnt let in.  This is a useful strategy.
In the same way i would never have let in any bratty or bitchy behaviour from my children. Thats not because i'm not "open minded". Thats because a boundary has been breached and i dont allow that. the noble rightard must master his own emotions. if he doesnt, he is not a noble rightard ...he is counterfeit
