I would say, yes, we do tend to 'happily' associate with ppl expressing the same internal 'vibration' as ourselves.
And that is not always a good thing.
We need to determine our own, INDIVIDUAL, path, ...and to be sure that our own path is what we want [what we are 'in vibe' with].
If we are not honest with ourselves, who will be honest with us ?
Almost everyone today, is a 'go-along' person. [....i.e. 'go-along, to get-along'.]
Being honest with ourselves, will nurture an internal strength within us, which will protect us from many of the adversities which we will encounter in life.

I would recommend the
Book of Proverbs [in the bible] to anyone, ....to all people who want to be
happy and at peace.
