But its such an unbelievably stupid thing to say. I was hoping FD would just say "sorry, I misread" or something.

We're talking about FD here, G.

FD just think about this carefully:

you are saying you can't get inbred-related retardedness by having inbred parents. Presumably inbred retards are so because they choose to be - yes?

Pause a moment before responding to this.

Not because they choose to be. Not because they have inbred parents. Because their parents are related.

Instead of asking me to repeat myself, just quote me.

Quote:
You could actually be more specific FD - you could ask me to explain something that I actually said - instead of asking me to explain the exact opposite of what I said.

I was more specific. I directed you to the quote I was trying to get more explanation of. You disagreed with my paraphrasing of it and I asked you to clarify it. This is textbook effective communication methods Gandalf, but it needs you to play along.

Quote:
You do understand that you 'paraphrased' me saying the exact opposite of what I said right?

I acknowledge that you said this. It does not make sense. Hence my repeated requrests for you to explain it. It now appears to me to boil down to your insistence that children of inbred parents are inbred.

Lets do this one step at a time. Consider the following statement.

Two inbred parents can have a non-inbred child.

Do you agree with this statement?

Good heavens, FD has a textbook for this?

That must be one of the books Longy published.

Most do-gooders like Karnal, Pecca and Brian Ross  don't believe in the concept of race so calling people racist makes no sense on their part.

*YAWN* already explained it, many times, Hammer.  YOU believe in "race".   YOU denigrate people on the basis of their "race".  Therefore you are a "racist".   It isn't what I believe, it's what you believe that matters.    Roll Eyes

So, where is your proof that "race" actually exists outside of what you believe, Hammer?  Link to a scientific paper, about the Genetics of "race", please.    Roll Eyes

It doesn't require communication FD, it requires you to comprehend the most straight forward English imaginable. See if you can get it this time:

Gandalf said:
Quote:
Muslims do pray 5 times (not 6) a day, and they do believe its the Islamic command to do so. That someone might consider these beliefs the beliefs of an idiot, does not make him a racist.

and...

Quote:
I said the logic that "all muslims are stupid - because Islamic text is nonsensical (and only an idiot would believe it)" - is not racist.

FD bizarrely interprets that as:
Quote:
Muslims are stupid because you have to be to believe Islam - racist

Now if you then went on and said that the cause of their stupidity is inbreeding - then that would be racist.

Wrong FD. If you had a baby with your cousin, the chances of that baby having a recessive disorder are infinitesimally smaller than a cousin-cousin baby from a community of inbreds that goes back hundreds of generations. In fact your chances are practically zero (even if they are marginally greater than a non-cousin baby), while the chances of the baby from the inbred community is probably close to 100%. So the rates of retardation moses was talking about (100% of the population), while of course absurd, could only come about through generations of inbreeding over 100s of years. If, as moses claims, muslims have all been inbreeding since the time of Muhammad, and adversely affecting the muslim gene pool all the way back since then (ie 'racialising' muslims), a muslim today would be a retard because he inherited his parents retardedness, who inherited their retardedness... etc etc - going back 1400 years. Inbreeding merely increases the likelihood these recessive 'retard genes' will be passed down.

Yes. Presumably you are under the delusion I said that couldn't happen - yes?

Now lets try another - which is more relevant to what I actually said:

Two inbred parents with the same recessive disorder - brought about by hundreds of years of inbreeding - are more likely to have a child with that same recessive disorder

Do you agree with this statement? Would you describe such a process as a recessive disorder (call it 'intellectual retardedness' if you like) being 'inherited'?
