Why did you feel the need to mention 'Asian", Gordy?

She's an idiot first and foremost.

Or, are you suggesting that Pauline is racist?

One Nation dumps anti-gay 'ratbag' candidate Shan Ju Lin

RELATED STORY: Advice for Pauline Hanson from the ghosts of One Nation's past

One Nation founder Pauline Hanson is making no apologies for sacking Queensland candidate Shan Ju Lin for her anti-gay comments, saying she will not let people trash her or her party.

Ms Lin was dumped on Saturday night after a number of Facebook posts, including saying that "gays should be treated as patients" and "abnormal sex behaviour leads to abnormal crime".

In another post, Ms Lin mocked outgoing US President Barack Obama's LGBTI policies using a digitally manipulated picture of him in drag.

Ms Hanson suspended Ms Lin, a school teacher and Harmony Day Festival committee president, on Friday night and warned her to stop the posts, but said the "disparaging comments" appeared again on Saturday night.

"These are not the views shared by One Nation, nor the views of fellow candidates and the general public," Senator Hanson said in a statement.

"I will not stand by and allow people to trash the party or my name, so I make no apologies for being tough on candidates."

Senator Hanson said Ms Lin responded:

"Once gays realise they can put pressure on a candidate, they will start to target other One Nation candidates also."
Ms Lin also took to her Facebook again account to thank her supporters, adding "I certainly did not want to compromise her personal integrity and values".

A spokesperson for Senator Hanson on Sunday told the ABC "the party is doing extraordinarily well and the party does not want ratbags".

Ms Lin had been preselected last month to run in the seat of Bundamba, west of Brisbane, in the slated 2018 state election.

Since her preselection, she had already made comments which ostracised parts of the Asian community.

Her disendorsement came just weeks after another candidate, Andy Semple, was forced to quit after similar inappropriate comments.

Mayor threatens to withdraw funding from Ms Lin's organisation

Ms Lin currently sits as Harmony Day Festival organising committee president in Ipswich.

The festival promotes multiculturalism and intercultural understanding.

It receives between $5,000 and $7,000 a year from the Ipswich City Council, which takes in Bundamba.

Mayor Paul Pisasale said he did not want any of the council's money going to the organising committee until Ms Lin apologised.

He stopped short of calling for her resignation.

"That's a promise," he said.

"When I saw those comments I thought how could this happen in this day and age in Australia.
"She needs to apologise to the people of Australia.

"Stop bending to the minority groups to try to get elected, get out there and show some leadership and skills."

I only know Pauline Hanson by reputation, and i don't know Shan Ju Lin at all.....

But i would say that Pauline Hanson 'got it wrong'.

She should have stood behind Shan Ju Lin,        imo.

Pauline is wary now as once burnt twice shy after Cullo's exploits.

Pauline is angling for the more conservative vote and so she has to appear reasonably responsible.

The Asian crossed the line and was unelectable.

What's the possibility of a Liberal One Nation coalition at the next election ? Twould be the stone blind end of little Shorty.

I thought that you had left OzPol forum, as part of your agreement/covenant with another poster ?

When is it, again, that you will be actually leaving ?

p.s.
re your query,      i don't have to justify myself to you.

You are nothing more than an 'ex-parrot'.

You have no status here.

Yes.

I directly replied to your post, which means that I'm talking to you.

So, why?

Why has Pauline "got it wrong"?

Is there some sort of reasoning behind your claim, or are you just another brainwashed idiot who can't think for themselves?

LOL  What am I saying?  Of course you're another brainwashed idiot.    Grin

Mrs Lin is now blaming James Ashby of Peter Slipper fame.

Hanson dumps 'homophobic' candidate
Updated: 4:45 pm, Sunday, 8 January 2017

...
Pauline Hanson has dumped state election candidate Shan Ju Lin for posting homophobic comments online.

Dumped One Nation candidate Shan Ju Lin says being dropped from the party has come as a 'complete surprise' and nominated Pauline Hanson's chief-of-staff as the reason for her disendorsement.

Ms Lin is the second candidate to fall out with One Nation less than a month after it unveiled part of the team it would take to the 2018 Queensland election.

The Taiwanese-born Ms Lin was dropped as the Bundamba candidate on Saturday night a day after she posted on Facebook that 'gays should be treated as patients'.

A statement from Senator Hanson's office said Ms Lin was disendorsed after she continued to post 'disparaging comments' on her personal account despite a warning from a party official on Friday.

'I will not stand by and allow people to trash the party or my name, so I make no apologies for being tough on candidates,' Ms Hanson said in the statement on Sunday.

Ms Lin said the decision to disendorse her candidacy had come as a 'complete surprise' as One Nation had no policy on homosexuality, other than to support a referendum on gay marriage.

'The speed of the disendorsement decision - without any chance to defend myself - has also been remarkable,' Ms Lin said.

Ms Lin said she had not been able to speak directly to Ms Hanson, who could only be contacted through her chief-of-staff James Ashby.

'I would suggest that the alleged issue was far more important to Mr Ashby than the membership or executive of One Nation,' she said.

...
Mr Ashby made headlines in 2012 when he lodged a sexual harassment suit against then-Speaker Peter Slipper that he ultimately dropped.

Ms Lin said her 'wholehearted support' for Ms Hanson remained.

'I look forward to the internal issues within One Nation being finally resolved for good,' she said.

Yeah - but isn't it time the gay lobby and a few others were put in their place?  What is radical nowadays will be common-place tomorrow... and what was once considered 'normal' is often today considered radical....

Let her speak.... Pauline would have been better served coming out (sic) and saying:-  "My party encompasses all views, and while I personally do not agree with Mr/Mz. (fill space) on this particular issue at this time, I value his/her input to discussion and will certainly be taking into consideration any valid issues she may raise in that discussion.  I feel that the Australian people should be given the opportunity to determine right and wrong for themselves, and issues such as gay marriage should be put to the people.  Morality I leave to those involved, as long as they do no harm to others."
