Morrison 2016 Australian of the Year
Jan 27th, 2017 at 7:51pm

Vic started this Thread elsewhere, and as there are far more military people here, I thought I'd bring it here.

Link.

I don't 'like' Morrison either, and I like 'Cate' McGregor just as much, given her recent petulance.

I know there is something the author of this Article did not declare which is that he 'retired' from the Army some years ago as a Major well known in senior ranks for a very particular penchant.

I don't doubt for one second that Morrison failed to live up to the Award, but I'm also a tad disappointed that the 'Cate' McGregores and the Ross Eastgates who clearly have very personal axes to grind ought get away with shots at public figures (their former Military Superiors) in public, because they can.  Eastgate would immediately respond with....'As an accomplished and non academically trained but good journalist published in the Golf Coast Rag, the Townsville Rag, the Courier Mail and now this Rag, I get to do that.....they have allowed me access,' and he is right.  That does not make it right that he use that access for a personal grind.

Let Morrison fade into the distance Ross Eastgate, no need to use him to make this month's "mortgage payment."

Stick with Band of Brothers.... when the crapola hits the fan it won't be the ladies doing the hard bits... all this PC in the Services is all right in a peacetime Army.  Not saying that in some roles women do a good job .. but this nonsense has gone too far.  Even LoC troops may be called upon to do the hard fighting, so they need to be as near combat-ready as possible.

Disclaimer - in my WW IV series, I clearly have a number of excellent fighting women, and refer, at one time, to the Band of Siblings that is the core of The Legion..... my view is not based on prejudice - just on reality.

Can't disagree with your opinions of Morrison or whatever that thing Cate Mcgregor thinks it is.

Can't see anything there which supports this:

I guess that means there is nothing in your link which supports this allegation:

Quote:
transgender issues were more important than ptsd in the defence force?

All you had to do was just say so, without the unprovoked abuse.
