I am not one to criticise someone for their weight gain, but obviously something has happened to Kate to show that she has gained considerable weight. From what I recall about her in her youth, she was a bit of a flirt. I don't know if she had a low sense of self-esteem then, but she might have developed some depression over the years.
Still, Fischer is still a nice person, and still out of your league, Herbert.
Did I say she isn't a nice person?
I wish her all the best. I was simply shocked by how thoroughly she has let herself go, and then fronting up to the cameras in a television show.
Of course people who remember her as she was are going to talk. She has voluntarily put herself on show as a one-time 'celebrity', and so it's a bit rich for her or anybody here to now be crying "Foul play!"
'Foul play' - my arse.
If you don't want to be the subject of curiosity and comment, then don't put your hand up to appear on a television show looking like a blimp when only a few short years ago you were the toast of the town.
If somebody has simply grown old in the meanwhile - that's one thing, but appearing as someone who has gone through such a transformation as she has is
bound to cause comment.
Are we supposed to all pretend there's no
elephant-in-the-room here?
I was making an observation post based on the link you provided. I did not say or even imply that you did not think Fischer was a nice person. I think she has a similar psychosomatic problem regarding weight gain that I have.
Seems that she might have felt a little irrelevant when she hit 40. The change might have been gradual. I will not surmise further what I think is going on in her life until she makes it public what she thinks is wrong.
