: Does anyone remember Kate Fischer?

It seems that everyone does.

I was never a fan but she seems nicer now.

I am not one to criticise someone for their weight gain, but obviously something has happened to Kate to show that she has gained considerable weight. From what I recall about her in her youth, she was a bit of a flirt. I don't know if she had a low sense of self-esteem then, but she might have developed some depression over the years.

Still, Fischer is still a nice person, and still out of your league, Herbert.

Did I say she isn't a nice person?

I wish her all the best. I was simply shocked by how thoroughly she has let herself go, and then fronting up to the cameras in a television show.

Of course people who remember her as she was are going to talk. She has voluntarily put herself on show as a one-time 'celebrity', and so it's a bit rich for her or anybody here to now be crying "Foul play!"

'Foul play' - my arse.

If you don't want to be the subject of curiosity and comment, then don't put your hand up to appear on a television show looking like a blimp when only a few short years ago you were the toast of the town.

If somebody has simply grown old in the meanwhile - that's one thing, but appearing as someone who has gone through such a transformation as she has is bound to cause comment.

Are we supposed to all pretend there's no elephant-in-the-room here?

She did not marry him.

Looks like she might have eaten him, though    Shocked

That's a revolting comment to make.

This is a first.  I agree with Herbert who told us all that, at 19 years of age, he was a Senior Officer of the London Metropolitan Police.

Yes of course, because a woman's only value is in what she looks like.

so the answer is no .... thanks

You asked if she'd have married him if she was a famous model and he wasn't a billionaire, well of course not.

In the other scenario I suggested, do you agree it's plausible?

many fat women get married too, anything is plausible ... however if he weren't so rich she would never have latched onto him. She was a model at the time and had a lot of male attention.

Morbid obesity such as hers shows mental health issues and poor self esteem. No man wants that baggage. She was never a pretty woman, I wonder how she ever became a model, perhaps packers money played a big part.

I sometimes wonder how these blokes who marry for money get an erection with such unattractive women like Gina.

It clearly once was to Fischer....she traded off, and commercialised her looks.

Good on her: still don't like women but they all hate me so meh!

Wrong!

Late 30's and/or after having kids.

Those 2 milestones are a killer on our boobs and bum. Cool
