I wonder if the women themselves were asked if they wanted "protecting"?
Good to see dear old Sheik Shady getting a guernsey. In case we had any doubts about the tone of the conference.
Do you classify these guys as Islamists who probably give tacit approval to violent jihad?
Actually Gordon some of the most extreme salafists are quite anti-violence. Notice the title of the conference.
I don't doubt that they will be advocating genuine peace. Not defending them though, they more than make up for that with their rabid misogyny, homophobia, anti-freedom etc.
Sorry but no cigar ... that's the last thing that they will be advocating ...e specially when their ideal is for everyone to be Muslim & live under Sharia Law.
They should not be allowed to speak on that subject as an ideal for Australian Muslims to push for or expect.
It is the very thing they fled their homelands to escape.
The tyranny of crazed fundamentalist Islamic states.
It has no place in this or any civilized country.
A few of their speakers & organizers belong to groups that are considered to have terrorist links & are banned in other countries.
e.g. Hizbut Tahrir
And good old Keysar Trad is there ... the same bloke who has a tribe of kids & doesn't work & wants polygamy(for Muslim men only) legalized in Australia.
Their is nothing more contradictory than having an Islamic conference co-scripted with the word peace.
These people have destroyed their own home countries and expect to take over the west.
And with PC soft cork western govts & bleeding heart liberals this will happen.
It's happening in Europe & it's only a matter of time for us if we allow the continuation of migration from these areas of conflict.
Mind they've only been in conflict with some one or some country for the past 1,400 years.
