I can't believe it

In the middle of a catastrophic fire period, in an area with a lot if bush, adjacent to a national park, some idiots were setting off fireworks last night.

But what can you do. I heard them somewhere in the district but couldn't tell where. The only hope is someone who did know informed the police and identified the property.

And that the law would allow a summary stringing up.

Of course these idiots are probably unaware there is a total fire ban or that fireworks are illegal anyway.
They would be aware of who's got a new album out or any amount of trivia.

I've changed my mind on a suitable punishment.
Let their house be put to the torch.

Bogarde will light the flame if you're too squeamish.

fireworks during a total fire ban in a bushland setting?

it should be a minimum of $100 000 fine and /or 3 months jail, and that's if it doesn't result in a bushfire. If it does result in a bushfire they should be made to pay all the expenses incurred in fighting the fire, plus 3 months jail
