That link DSmithy put up showing $50B in subsidies to gas companies is ridiculous. What the fkk is wrong with these damn politicians? We're paying them to take our gas instead of the other way around. if you ran a business like that you'd be broke within a month. No wonder they have no money to help the poor.

The 2015 total subsidies for coal, petroleum and gas was less that $50 bil. So you lot of Nancys are as gullible as children.

They are flogging our LNG off for commercial rates, paying us a pittance THEN claiming 50 BIL off their tax

Pay the 50 Bil
Pay a decent rate for the LNG in the 1st place

Call the subsidies what ever you want, it is still not true.

If you socialists didn't claim tax write off as handout you would not even have an argument to present.

There is no $50 bil subsidy for the gas industry, that statement is a load of sh1t.

All up, coal, petroleum and gas are subsidised to about $40 bill for all three.

The government is getting all the money it is going to get unless it starts screwing more money out of the taxpayer. It will do this to provide 'free' dental back to those very same taxpayers, less 20% handling fee.

You people need to stop demanding free stuff from the government, it is fkking expensive and the people and entities you want to pay for it will not be doing the paying.

I have no idea why; you have not posted your evidence for review, so it is impossible to argue against such a simplistic statement.

First up, the states own the resources and you are arguing about what the fed does or gets, it seems a little in-congruent.
