Open the door, this is what comes in
Feb 19th, 2017 at 2:08pm

A Maryland-based mosque held a memorial celebration Sunday for an Islamist assassin who was convicted of murdering a Pakistani governor for criticizing the country’s blasphemy laws.

The Gulzar E Madina mosque hosted an “Urs” for convicted murderer Mumtaz Qadri, reported Ehsan Rehan of the Rabwah Times, a Pakistan-based news agency. Urs is a traditional death anniversary usually reserved for Sufi saints celebrated by Muslims in South Asia.
A Pakistani high court charged Qadri with murder after he killed Salman Taseer, the former governor of Pakistan’s Punjab province. Qadri, who was part of Taseer’s bodyguard, shot him 27 times with an AK-47 assault rifle in the middle of a market in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad. Qadri surrendered to police immediately, Taseer died of his wounds.

Qadri said he killed Taseer in response to the governor’s defense of Asia Bibi, a Christian woman who was convicted of blaspheming the prophet Muhammad after an argument erupted when she brought water to a female Muslim coworker.

Qadri was subsequently sentenced to death and executed, sparking protests by Islamist groups across Pakistan. More than 100,000 people reportedly attended the assassin’s funeral.

Rabwah reported that dozens of people, including children, attended the memorial event in Maryland, which included speakers who defended Qadri’s actions.

“Whoever disrespects the Holy Prophet Muhammad is worthy of death, and even if disrespects indirectly he is worthy of death. Even if someone asks for forgiveness it is not acceptable,” said one unidentified speaker, according to Rabwah.
Baltimore-based Islamic cleric Ijaz Hussain was also in attendance. He praised U.S. religious freedom, but denied that Qadri was a terrorist.

“We have some freedoms here [in the U.S.] which we do not even have in other Muslim countries, this is the beauty of this country. There are some countries where we can’t even praise the prophet, we can’t celebrate the Day of Imam Hussain, this country has freedom of religion and this is the beauty of this country,” said Hussain. “Mumtaz Qadri was not a terrorist and whoever says ‘We are with you O Prophet’ cannot be a terrorist.”
New Jersey-based Islamic scholar Syed Saad Ali asked the crowd why they did not come to the aid of Qadri after his arrest.

“Warrior Mumtaz Qadri kissed the noose in love for Prophet Muhammad. When Qadri was in jail for 5 years what did we do? What effort did we make [for his release],” asked the scholar. “Why did we not go where he was being held? Qadri did everything for us, and for the love of Islam and we could not even stand by him. People say Islam teaches peace … I say Islam teaches us Ghairat [Honor] who will now stand up?”

Some Muslims took to Facebook to condemn the mosque’s decision to honor Qadri.
“Disgusting event on Sunday. I’m a Muslim and you do not represent me,” said Sahar Shafqat in a comment on the mosque’s Facebook page. “You should be deeply ashamed of yourselves.”

“This is disgusting,” said Salman Faridi, who also posted a picture of the flyer advertising the event.

The Gulzar E Madina mosque did not respond to The Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment by the given Friday afternoon deadline.

Know the enemies of a civil society by their public behaviour, by their fraudulent claim to be liberal-progressive, by their propensity to lie and, above all, by their attachment to authoritarianism.

Oh, dearie, dearie me...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Rather atypical behavior don't you think, Bogarde?  "Dozens" attended.   Hardly representative of the mainstream viewpoint, don't you think or are you painting with a broad brush again?  Tsk, tsk.   Roll Eyes

Where is your appropriation for the White Supremacists in America who regularly kill Blacks?  How about the anti-Gay campaigners?   How about the anti-Abortion Terrorists?   Tsk, tsk, all get a free hand from you it seems.    Roll Eyes

All are just as guilty, all commit acts of Terrorism.  All see violence as a means to an end.  What a shame you turn a blind eye to most of it and only single out Muslims.   I wonder why?  Tsk, tsk.   Roll Eyes

Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Genocidal murderers of Australian Aboriginals are still honored in Australia.

Angus McMillan, murderer and genocidal maniac.

Quote:
The Victorian Federal electorate McMillan is named for him.[3]

Cal Flyn’s ancestor was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Indigenous men, women and children in 19th century Australia
Angus McMillan was responsible for the deaths of many Gunai.

In 2011 I made an uncomfortable discovery about my family history. I had a famous great-great-great uncle, I learned: Angus McMillan. He was an explorer of early Australia, but in recent years he has also been identified as the man responsible for a series of massacres of the Gunai (sometimes referred to as the Gunaikurnai) people of Gippsland in the south-eastern state of Victoria.

These attacks were cold-blooded and without mercy. Men with guns descended upon unsuspecting encampments, killing men, women and children; they were killed, as one settler wrote later, “whenever [the Gunai] can be met with”. In the first 10 years of settlement in Gippsland, the Gunai population fell by more than 90%, to little more than 100 individuals.

McMillan had fled Scotland during the time of the Highland Clearances but, in a cruel irony, he went on to enact brutal clearances of his own upon his new country, the worst at Warrigal Creek in 1843, where 80 to 200 members of the Bratowooloong clan were killed in revenge for the murder of a single white settler.

And just remember boges, these people are off Trumps ban list. Does that bother you? In fact does it bother you that every single country from which an Islamist terrorist has killed Americans on American soil has come from is not on Trump's ban list?

What bothers me is that this ban is for a lousy 90 days only - and then it will be on for young-and-old again.

Yeah, legal stuff often bores you, doesn't it, Herbie?   What a shame that the world runs on the rule of law and not the rule of man, hey?   Roll Eyes

Its not my list, or my idea FD.

Do you think Trump's ban made sense - given that all the countries with a history of terrorism in America are off? I asked boges specifically seeing he spends most of his time here worshipping Trump.

You've never said much about Trump.

FD has never said anything about Trump. Maybe you could ask him here, G.

Something along the lines of, do you give Donald Trump your unequivocal support because he wants to crack down on the Muselman?

Tell him a simple yes or no will suffice.
