But I'm curious. On what basis do you think the Penrith Council will reject this school? Please refer to to LGAs' planning and development criteria in your response.

How about the majority of residents not wanting it?

That's a novel approach. Asking the rate-payers their opinion.

Wherever a mosque and Islamic school are built, this draws the hijab and bearded mob from far and wide to concentrate in these areas, buying up houses and opening businesses until within a few short years it's yet another ghetto from where the Anglo-Australians move further out along the railway lines in an act of White Flight and the hope of finding somewhere to live where dinki di Australia hasn't yet been completely obliterated by design of our successive governments.
Don't worry herb, Penrith people won't let it happen. Just like the people of Camden.

Really? And on what basis do you make that claim, Bogarde?  Islamophobia?   Roll Eyes

Sydney is divided up into areas with majority ethnicities. Fairfield/Cabramatta is Vietnamese, Lakemba is Muslim and Penrith is  anglo . Let has our own culture hey? There's plenty of places in Sydney for a Muslim influx.

Yes, Homo, there's always my multicultural ghetto. We take in all types in Granville. Chows, Curries, Pakis, Nig nogs...

But I'm curious. On what basis do you think the Penrith Council will reject this school? Please refer to LGAs' planning and development criteria in your response. This includes car parking, fire planning, water and sewerage, any building impacts on neighbouring properties, etc, etc, etc.

Please explain.
On what basis? Well princess , the council owns the land and the buildings and they can rent them out to whoever they want. Good enough?

Well the Islamic schools are pushing puritanical Saudi style Islam.
Is that the good type of Islam?

Depends on what it teaches and how it is taught, Gordon.   I went to Catholic schools as a child.  Am I a Catholic now?  Nope.   Could it be that it had the reverse effect on me?   More than likely.   I'm not even a Christian now.   I just study religion for the hell of it.   Roll Eyes

Breeding grounds for the alien colonisation of Australian society. A separate nation-building by a foreign entity within the broader demographic. Squatters.

Exactly what used to be claimed about Catholics, hey, Herbie back before the 1960s.  Tsk, tsk.   Roll Eyes

Come come, dear: the council owns the land and the buildings? This is a Development Application on private land.

Now let's start again. On what planning criteria are you suggesting the council should reject this application?

I'm curious.

No dear. They want to move into the old Penrith Public School buildings. You go have a nice lay down and you'll feel better.

Traffic overload in the vicinity of the school during pick-up and drop-off of the little Mohammedans.

Ah yes, let's consider this, but allow me to pose a question to you first. Do you own your home or rent?

That's one. Good.

Unfortunately, as Homo has just pointed out, the site used to be a school.
