Echo chambers are bad, echo chambers of either persuasion.

But the truth is important.  Knowing fact from fiction, or even fact from opinion, in these times of deliberate deceit from the damn White House of all places, on an industrial scale, it's more important than ever.

To support Trump, it takes AT THE LEAST, a huge effort to IGNORE the fact that he and his team are always lying first about what they say.  It's literally the first thing they do.

If it gets great reactions from his support base on Twitter, they run with it as their "alternative facts".

And that's not even counting the second thing that Trump supporters have to do, make up positive news, or conspiracy, to discount the negative truths, like QAnon or excuse his failures as not being failures at all, but part of a 4D chess plan that his critics are too stupid to understand.  But his supporters understand, which not only helps reinforce their beliefs but make them part of the plan.

It's an intoxicatingly dangerous mix of giving people a safe space but also stroking their ego and making them feel a part of it.  It's no wonder so many people have been red pilled, or feel so intertwined and part of the army that they'll take up arms and shoot up a school or try to shoot up a pizza place.

So if you think Light providing an alternative to the "hate" towards Trump, you are of course entitled to that view, but in Light's case, it's an exercise in faux balance.

What Trump is doing right now is bad for the economy, but there are videos talking about how good he is doing and how much China and Mexico are paying.

It is factually incorrect on the most basic level. 

Those who are trapped in echo chambers that flood them with such information like Fox News, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, they're genuinely shocked when they hear things like Mueller's press conference which penetrated their bubbles like Fox News, but if they'd only read the actual report, they'd know nothing that he said was new.  Trump wasn't exonerated, it wasn't that there was no collusion or no obstruction, the situation was far more complicated than that and even involves a constitutional crisis.

Look at the hate the odd Fox Reporter gets when they tell the truth like the Steele Dossier wasn't what started the investigation into Trump.  Fire and brimstone, he's part of the fake news media!  But then the next thing he says they support so they just literally rewrite history and pretend that never happened.

This is why it's important to stand up against the lies and fake news.  You may not mind what Light posts because it aligns with your political views, but that doesn't make it truthful or any less dangerous.
