SHUT IT DOWN: Nunes Says NO CREDIBLE Evidence to JUSTIFY Ongoing ‘Russia Probe’

After over a year of intense investigation with no shred of collusion evidence, and wasting millions in taxpayer dollars, why on earth are we still entertaining this sham of a witch-hunt?

That’s precisely what Devin Nunes is wondering, claiming there’s not even credible evidence to “justify” this ongoing Russia probe.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes said Monday that Congress has yet to see any solid rationale for the Justice Department’s decision to launch the Russia investigation against President Trump, and said he’s hoping to see more when he meets with officials Wednesday.

“We have yet to see any credible evidence or intelligence that led to the opening of this investigation,” the California Republican said on Fox News.

Nunes has been pushing the Justice Department to explain how it justified the launch of the special counsel investigation that has hounded Trump for a year now. He and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., are keying off a statement from Fusion GPS’ Glenn Simpson, who said a source within the Trump campaign provided information for the controversial Trump dossier.

Nunes said if there was a “spy” of some sorts in Trump’s campaign, that could look bad for the Justice Department, since it could give the appearance that they were trying to set up Trump for a fall.

“I think what it really means, I think it will look badly on the Department of Justice and the FBI on how they conducted this investigation,” he said.

Nunes said he believes that Simpson was telling the truth about a source within the campaign, which is why they are pushing the Justice Department to explain what it knows.

“We believe he was telling the truth, and what we’re trying to do is get the documents to figure out did they actually have… what methods were used to open this counterintelligence investigation,” he said.

He also said the department never should have opened a counterintelligence investigation into Trump, which is a step that isn’t normally taken against a political campaign.

“I believe they never should have opened a counterintelligence investigation into a political party,” he said.

Devin Nunes is about as stupid as it gets. He is trying to defend Trump 'no matter what', but he really isnt very good at it.

Poor Light.

So quick and easy to believe the stories, the conspiracies, that help his favoured public representatives save face and stay "the good guys".

It seems like a really stupid thing to do because at the end of the day, Trump is the representative of the US people, he has a responsibility to them no the other way around. 

He needs to start acting like it rather than running a largely successful campaign of convincing his supporters to lower their expectations of him, while setting an unattainably high expectation for any of his critics or opponents.

I'm not surprised that this has worked so well on light, but there are other people much smarter than him, people I once held a great deal of respect for who also fall for it.

And I'm not talking about those who support and admire Trump for what he does, that's fine, but only when these people are actually supporting what he does.  There is the whole other subset of Trump supporter who support the persona of Trump and buy into his claims, oblivious to his actual actions.  These are the people I have no respect for.

They're the ones who insist even after watching the footage that he never mocked the disabled reporter or worse, that he is actually draining the swamp despite the few times he's actually removed a swamp dweller, they were one of his own hand picked appointment.
