Obama's Return
Apr 25th, 2017 at 11:26pm

Obama made his return to public life this week. How odd to hear a president speak in complete sentences ...

Unless Americans are absolutely stupid beyond hope of recovery, more & more of them will over time come to realise what a damaging person this was to trust with high office.

Know the enemies of a civil society by their public behaviour, by their fraudulent claim to be liberal-progressive, by their propensity to lie and, above all, by their attachment to authoritarianism.

That's true. The man's a half-caste.

Thank heavens the whites are back in charge, no?

That's your language Karnal.
My prediction is he will become a discard and an outcast.

How? The Republicans are now upholding his policies in the congress. Trump's problems in the White House are holding Obama's time there in stark contrast: Obama's disciplined team, his sound judgement, his brilliant negotiating skills, his masterful oratory.

I never would have said this until I saw what bad leadership really looks like. Imagine, Obama got Obamacare through with the most hostile congress and senate in recent memory. Trump can't even get it repealed with a friendly congress and senate, many of whom were elected on anti-Obamacare campaigns.

With each day Trump serves in the White House, Obama keeps looking better and better. You can keep repeating statements like discard and outcast, but they will continue to make less and less sense. After all, Trump has taken the US to a new low - one no one has ever seen before.

Americans are starting to look back fondly on a time when they had a half-caste president who could actually think, speak and get things done.

If you want a Fuhrer, Herbie - and we know you do - find a leader who is capable of transforming things.

Trump, as we've seen, will only make things worse - or worse still, do nothing.

We will make Amerika nothing again, no?

In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

Possibly relegated to the Chicago ghettoes where he first met Michael and fell in love.

Perhaps how he was known as 'no drama obama'. How he saved the economy from Depression and restored America's image in the world.  Perhaps it is how he was both intelligent and articulate that so offends our racist Bogarde et al?

You gotta give the guy credit, he did fundamentally change the country. now, probably over 50% are dependent, racial and class divisions are cementing and the return from the financial mess he created will probably cause civil war and lead to authoritarian rule.

Obama caused the 'financial mess'?

Trump's ascendancy would have even diehard foreign optimists finding it a hard slog not to concede that 'Americans' may just be the most blood-simple meatheads in the English-speaking world... Even beating out the disparaging English stereotype of the Catholic Irish.

Particularly vulnerable to conspiracy theories and conmen, they can lurch from belief in one Trump absurdity to the next almost in a single thought process.

From inauguration attendance numbers to a wiretapping Obama, nothing is beyond the ken of this latter-day stereotypical Appalachian idiot when it comes to believin'...
