The Republican opposition to the bailouts was the seed of the alt right, joined later by the Tea Party's opposition to health care. Powerful money, lobbyists and media fanned the flames. Some would profit handsomely from financial collapse, as they do from war and disaster.

The alt-right opposed the handouts not on libertarian lines, but on their opposition to big business. The alt-right aren't libertarians.

They should be. Libertarians actually make sense.

As every schoolboy knows.

The alt right are just wolves (the corporate oligarchy) pretending to be cashed-up sheep (the Birthers).

Sometimes. Yet they run into all kinds of contradictions once they start telling others how to live or what should be done in any given situation.

Incorrect. The alt-right are anti-big business.
