It should not be scary, if the Federal Government recognised them as our sworn enemy. The most indecent betrayal of Australian values by the government was the way the went cap in hand to Jakarta when their military leader and Islamist cut of military co-operation. Our government should have taken the opportunity to draw a line in the sand.

Indonesia wants Australia to be under Sharia law.

They would invade us tomorrow if they thought they could get away with it.

There is no doubt -

Indonesia wants Australia to be under Sharia law.

They would invade us tomorrow if they thought they could get away with it.

The issues are not so simple.

First of all, the USA wants Australia to remain a good ally of Indonesia, to fend off progression of communist in South East Asia. This had been ongoing since post world war 2. You need to look up the history to find out the specifics.

Secondly, Indonesia is an ally of Saudi Arabia, which remain an ally of USA. President Trump have business interest there, and many past presidents have ties to petrolium companies which have ties to Saudi Arabia.

Thirdly, Australia need USA on board for strategic defense.

Fourthly, we cannot draw the line in the sand with both Indonesia and China. We just simply do not have the economy, the military or the population to do such.
