Now getting him back on track will be impospital.

What is "impospital"?   I can't find it in the dictionary or online, Valkie.

Are you sure that English is your first language?

As for your question, I answered it.   Coffee is the most successful and largest influence Islam has had on the world.   I know from your Islamophobic viewpoint it doesn't appear to be much but billions of people drink it.  Millions are employed growing it.   Just because you don't drink it, you aren't going to deny enjoyment of it's pleasures to the rest of the world, now are you?

Mmmm, perhaps on second thought, your Islamophobia would deny it to the world simply because it is the gift of Islam.  Tsk, tsk.   Roll Eyes

Dear oh dear Brian, I would have thought you should be gunshy of castigating other members for spelling errors and typos after I posted two of your own errors accrued over a single posting period.

And that was just the stuff I saw, you are here a lot more, and post a lot more than I do.

I were playing wif spellink fool, it was a joke.
But thats right, you sycophantic, sympathiser, apologists do not have a sense of humor?

As for your somewhat abstract reply.
I clarified my question by giving you examples of how other cultures in the modern world have been benificial to the countries they immigrated to.

You obtuse answer, does not address the question raised.

Tell me what wonderful things these recent islamists brought to the countries they have joined?
Not hundreds of years ago, and not in their own country, but in western countries.

It was a joke?  OK.  Ha, ha, ha.

Ah, now you've changed the scope of your question, Valkie.  My, how interesting.

The Islamists?  The best thing they have brought to the world and in particular the Islamic world is a new sense of purpose, a new sense of unity to see them defeated.

An interesting fact about Daesh.  When they were starting out, they were aligned with Al Qa'eda.  They were allied to Al Qa'eda in Iraq, resisting the American and allied occupation.

Problem was, even by Al Qa'eda's standards, they were too violent, too vicious.  Al Qa'eda could see there efforts were being counter-productive.  They were turning the Iraqi people against the insurgency.  So they told Daesh to piss off, "you are too violent for us, we don't want to know you any more."   So Daesh pissed off to Syria.  Funny that.   Guess what happened in Syria?   The Syrian groups opposed to Assad at first welcomed Daesh and their fighters.  That was until they saw how violent, how vicious they were.   They too told them to bugger off.  And so, off they buggered off, back to Iraq, where Al Qa'eda had lost the insurgency in the meantime but there was still a power vacuum in Northern Iraq.   So, guess where they proclaimed their Caliphate?  Northern Iraq.

Today, Iraq is more unified than ever.   The Sh'ites are fighting against Daesh.  The Sunnis are fighting against Daesh.   The Kurds are fighting against Daesh.  They all have a common enemy - Daesh.

Now who amongsts believe that Islam is a cult?  Why you do.   Problem is for you, Islam if a cult is a splintered one.   We can either make it more united, which is what the Islamists are trying to do in their name or we can keep the splinters in place.  Choice is yours, Valkie.

In short - Islam is a splintered or a united cult.

Thanks, Brian. You have used way too many words to express a simple truth.

That could be claimed of any religious denomination, Soren.  Christianity has splintered how many times?  30,000 apparently. Hinduism, how many times? 4 times apparently.  Buddhism, how many times? 3 major times apparently.  Iconoclasm is a common problem amongst any group of believers.

So, if you're going to make that claim about Islam, what are you going to say about those other major religions, Soren or do they get a free pass because of your Islamophobia?   Roll Eyes

Diversity in religious belief is a good thing IMO, Soren.  It shows that people are thinking about their beliefs, about their views on the universe.  It is like diversity in political opinion.  It shows self-expression is alive and well.   Something we know you dislike, right, Soren?  Tsk, tsk.   Roll Eyes

Diversity in religious beliefs or anything else does NOT mean accepting every permutation and mutation.  Islam as it is practiced today has far more unacceptable aspects than any other religion.

That is the point, Brian. We must NOT accept every 'diverse' view just because they are 'diverse'.

You seem to purposely conflating 'diverse' with 'acceptable'. But they are very far from interchangeable.  And so we criticise and reject the murderous aspects of Islam as unacceptable, 'diverse' though they may be.

Many of the most robust distinctions in the English language seem to go over your head, Brian. Diversity doesn't mean acceptable. Look up any dictionary.
