Susan Carland - 'Tell her she's dreaming!'
Quote:Sharia law can empower women rather than punish them, argues Susan Carland
Yahoo7 News on May 11, 2017
Dr Carland, who's married to TV personality Waleed Aly, told an inner Sydney audience, including feminist Eva Cox, that Sharia law could be used to persuade Muslim men that it was wrong for women who are victims of rape to be stoned or lashed for adultery.
Under Sharia law, a woman’s word is considered worthless without male witnesses to corroborate her story.“For those of you that don’t know, if a woman is raped she can be punished for adultery,” Dr Carland told her audience at Gleebooks, promoting her new book 'Fighting Hislam: Women, Faith and Sexism'.Despite concerns that Sharia law gives rape victims no rights,
Dr Carland explained a US lawyer's campaign to challenge adultery laws in Pakistan arguing
"there is no justification under Sharia for a woman sho is raped to be punished".

Honestly, can Susan Carland really believe, what she is publicly saying on this subject ?
e.g.
Moslem men in Pakistan
routinely murder women [who are family members] in Pakistan,
for the serious 'religious' crime of disobeying the wishes of a man who has
lawful authority over her.
And that circumstance is very, very common within many moslem majority [ISLAMIC law] jurisdictions.

Quote:"....Murder is punishable by death in Jordan but in so-called "honour killings" courts can commute or reduce sentences, particularly if the victim's family asks for leniency...."

'He's your father, if he wants he can kill you'.""
http://www.jihadwatch.org/2010/04/british-girl-kidnapped-by-saudi-father-i-told-...ISLAMIC law makes the murder of wives and children, 'lawful', under certain circumstances, e.g. apostasy ['rebellion' against ISLAM's authority i.e. 'rebellion' against the husband or the fathers authority ].
ISLAMIC law texts, specifically give moslem men, the right to kill their children [and grandchildren]. [
cited, in the "British girl kidnapped by Saudi father" article above]
And the murder of moslem women and children within moslem families often goes unreported -
even, sometimes, within Western nations.
Because such 'events' [within families]
are not even 'crimes' within ISLAMIC law, and imams often teach that
infidels should have no authority in such matters.
