These gay vultures just hatched an egg

These gay vultures just successfully hatched an egg together

The vultures live at a zoo in Amsterdam and have been in a long-term relationship for years.

Two male griffon vultures are celebrating the birth of their adopted chick, after caring for the egg in their nest for two months.

The couple—who live at the Artis zoo in Amsterdam— are in a long-term relationship.

"We have had them for some years. They always build a nest together, bond and mate together," zookeeper Job van Tol told the BBC.

After staff at the zoo discovered a lone egg at the bottom of the aviary, they first placed it in an incubator before deciding to place it in the nest of the two male vultures.

The pair took turns sitting on the egg for two months before it hatched.

"It was a bit of risk as we had no guarantees of success, but we thought, finally, this is their chance," said Mr van Tol.

The birds have been caring for their now 20-day old chick, sharing fathering duties and breaking up food for their chick.

It’s the first time in five years that the zoo has had a successful hatching along with another chick who was born to heterosexual parents at the same time.

Will nobody think of the chick? Unless it's removed immediately it will catch the gay and then there'll be avian AIDS everywhere!

It's the progressive zoo keepers who should be deported.

One of my favourite broadcasters is about to hatch an egg with his gaybo partner (and a surrogate).

Possibly yes

but knowing you there's usually an ulterior motive.

The fact that none of this would have happened without human beings picking up a discarded yet fertile egg laid by female vulture to place in the gay boys nest.

And had they had the right number of males to females & maybe separated & placed each of these males in another cage with females ... they would have bred as normal.

I keep birds .... and when you lock the males up together without females some buddy up.

I think men & women do that in jail too.  Roll Eyes

Probably stoned out of their minds as well.
