God in Government Schools
Jun 9th, 2017 at 1:26pm

At school assemblies students sing a popular school creed - 'This is our school' - sung in varied versions at many primary schools across Perth, which includes the lines, "Let love abide here, love of one another, love of mankind, love of life itself, and love of God".

"The School Education Act allows for public schools to teach no more than one hour a week of "general religious education" which can include "prayers and songs" – but it must not promote any particular religious practice or denomination."

No group should have any extra special rights or privileges more than anyone else.

Section 116 of the constitution should be deleted as being biased toward a single special interest group; religious loons.

Treat all religious groups a potentially dangerous lunatics and enact laws to monitor and control their activities, Australia will be better for it.

After that religion in school will not be a problem.  Smiley Smiley Smiley

Teach children about religion, but don't put God in their school creed.

havent heard this particular phrase but they say all kinds of nonsense at school assemblies.  The worst is the absurd "welcome to country" where they pretend we're back in the 1700s

I managed to keep him out of my children's minds even though they attended a "Christian Community School".

Edit: They were exempted from religious studies at the state school they went to briefly and spent the time in the library because I contacted the school and said no way. They did govt distance education for the last few years and no religion was on the menu.

Religion without a God of some type. The loopy pills are working just fine.
