Ah, yes .. Hamlet's ghost on the battlements..... how anyone ever listened to that little short-arsed pr1ck is beyond me.. I don't recall a single sensible word ever passing his lips... little man with a heap of big problems....

The German army did us a dis-service in the 14-18 when they missed his grandfather... who apparently died of shame after Wee Johnnie was set adrift in a chaff bag but saved by Pharaoh's daughter to become the Messiah for his Lib people.....

His record as 2nd longest serving PM seems to prove you and your disdain wrong.  As for the personal stuff, well I didn't know him, did you?
I have to admit I agreed a few times with what he said...  Chief amongst them...  “But we will decide who comes to this country and the circumstances in which they come.”
Seems like common-sense to me.

Do not see how the length of his embarrassment is relevant.
Oh dear more political bias...  2nd longest serving PM....  people voted his party in whilst he was leader for years and years and years...  not difficult to understand that point DNA.

Funny that people like one of his biggest lies ? This statement was made in response to children overboard the inference being that people who throw their children overboard and not the type people we want to come to Australia.

Actually it was made as part of an election speech to his party.

The problem for John is that when he was making this politically motivated emotional statement he was fully aware that no children were thrown overboard. It was a con job - a lie on the cusp of an election.

To their shame and should be endless embarrassment people like you swallowed this lie hook line and stinker.

But you are biased DNA....  that is why you think like that.

Actually it was made as part of an election speech to his party.

Actually by the time he got to that election speech he had probably said it over 100 times, the First few were in radio interviews and such talking about children overboard and the Tampa.
Actually he hadn't but Pauline Hanson had...
Grin Grin Grin

It would help if you knew what you were talking about.
For that you'd have to have a strong grasp on reality.

It also doesn't hurt that I am 100% correct - the statement was made to support a lie, that is a fact.
No you are not not even 50%

The time came quickly when these guys knew that what they were saying was untrue.

The photos in question had been cropped to allow false claims to be made. This was either done by the Navy ??? (unlikely) or a politicians office ??? almost certain.

The statement by Howard is obviously connected to the children overboard incident and at the time the PM was aware that children overboard was a lie.

The Navy etc. would not do that and are trained in simple realities (nod to Vic) ... they do not do propaganda, but make factual reports, and Howard and Co should hang their heads... before we do.

Then we had WMD.. absolute liars the lot of them, and they must think we're stupid.

The stench of Bull S. and Labor's vast cesspool of corruption is even worse.

Oh and....

Hanson stated: "I should have the right to have a say who comes into my country."

Later Howard states: "We will decide who comes to this country, and the circumstances in which they come." He cracked down on asylum seekers, generally with Labor's support. Abbott also agreed with Pauline Hanson's view on this in 2013.

None of which rhetoric has changed to one iota the fact that immigration into this country remains primarily from social/ethnic groups with customs and culture often hugely different from ours.  Increasing the pool of labour is one thing, but when the jobs are vanishing as fast as the 'industrial relations' values are....there is no merit in building a mass force of unemployed manual workers.

Talk is one thing.. action another.
