That is unless you admit they are just personal speculations, & simply points of view, absent of any "bona fide" proof.

Fact: The email trail clearly demonstrates that the leadership team of the Trump campaign knowingly met with a person representing the Russian government for the purpose of discussing damaging material against Clinton.

Fact: The same evening Trump reported that there would be information released to damage Clinton. and the Clinton campaign.

Fact: Said information was released by wikileaks in the specified time frame.

Fact: It is known that the Wikileaks releases had been supplied by the Russians.

There is not much wriggle room left to join the dots in a different way.

It is clearly understood that the Russians tampered with the US election.

It is now known that the Trump team had involvement with the Russians at this time.

No wonder that the Trump team want to make a different story out of it.

Excellent post, Dnarever. You've just made me realise - the Trump team must have known the information on Hillary held by the Russian government was obtained illegally.

And indeed, they wouldn't have been interested in it if it wasn't.

But I'm curious. Can you imagine the shrieks of outrage if Hillary had joined forces with a foreign power to steal Trump's private information? Panther et al are still frothing over Hillary using her own email server. Imagine if she was found to have colluded with the Russians to bring down Trump. Impeachment?

We'd be talking about the death sentence.

Nothing illegal with that just as long as the Trump people themselves had nothing to do with the illegal act of getting that info.

News papers have traditionally used illegally obtained (stolen) information to blow open investigations by publishing that illegal information ..... that's protected by the First Amendment of the US Constitution, as long as they didn't aid in the theft of said information.

Simply meeting with Russians is not in itself a crime.

By supplying the Trump Team with dirt, that the Trump Team then legally used against Clinton!!??

That's been done legally for over 200 years in America.

★★★ As long as the Trump Team themselves had nothing to do with the illegal activity used to get that information, the information/dirt is perfectly legal to use to impact upon the electorate.

It amazes me how everyone "suggests" that the Trump Team "may have broken" the law & committed a crime. Yet not one mention of exactly what law, what Section of the US Code was broken.....

Speculation is rampant, but so far nothing...

My Conclusion: People don't like what they/he did, & that the actions were politically incompetent, that's abundantly obvious, but unless there was a specific US law broken....a particular Section of the US Code, there's nothing more there, there was no crime committed.

Yes, Collusion can be criminal, under certain legal conditions, but just merely throwing the word "Collusion" at these events does not, in itself, make it criminal.

What's known is that they haven't broken a US Law.

If there isn't a law on the books in America to charge a crime with, that their problem. They should get cracking & legislate one.....if the Constitution permits. I have a feeling it won't.

No crime means just that....no crime....Like it or not.

Glad we don't have the death penalty here in Australia....not that I'm against it, but with a lot like yours, you'd kill the innocent for sure!
